About

This is the weblog of Paul Sagar.

I am currently reading for a PhD in 18th century political and moral thought at the University of Cambridge. I hold previous degrees from the University of Oxford (Politics, Philosophy and Economics, 2008) and London (Queen Mary College and University College inter-collegiate award), (MA Intellectual History and History of Political Thought, 2010).

However this is a personal website and should be treated as such.

Intended as a place where I can articulate my ideas, and have them scrutinised and challenged, the main section of this blog is expressly political in nature. Exchanges may at times become heated – as is the nature of political debate. The sidebar contains “Nerd Posts” which contain more academic musings. The “Nerd Posts” are not intended for serious publication, but made available for those who wish to engage with me on any of the ideas or arguments raised therein. Critical feedback is always welcome.

At present an “anything goes” comment policy operates. In general comments will not be deleted unless they are egregiously offensive. The benefits of free speech are often only achieved when that freedom is as unimpeded as possible. Especially as the nastiness of an opinion often serves as its own refutation.

This doesn’t mean that no comments will be deleted. Just that you’ll have to try especially hard to get deleted.

    Tom,

Not sure. I’m not much of a techy person.

Do you mean something that could be emailed to you, or a side-bar for the main page?

  4. Tom said,

yeah, where updates are e-mailed to me… dunno if its possible. You can do it on some blogs so might be possible.
I think at the moment, all you can do is subscribe to a separate post but not the general blog

Hi Paul. Can’t seem to find a contact email address for you? Would you mind dropping me a line at internsanonymous@gmail.com

We have hosted your CiF article on our website… and wondered if you fancied being a regular contributor on the experiences of interns?

    Tom,

If you go to the Bad Conscience homepage using internet explorer, you will see an option on the toolbar called Feeds (J)

If you click that, you can get an RSS feed from this blog, provided you have a gmail account or similar.

    That should do the trick.

yeah that’ll do it. thanks alot paul

‘I once wrote an article for Liberal Conspiracy where I claimed that everyone on the political right is either thick or nasty.’

But again, if you want to play the man instead of the ball throw that one back in my face as you please.

    Eh?
